Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This policy explains how Solar Nova Now handles information through solarnovanow.com, including our contact form and optional website analytics.
1. Who to contact
Solar Nova Now
4962 W. El Camino Real, Suite 219
Los Altos, CA, USA
Email: hello@solarnovanow.com
Please use this contact for questions about this website, privacy requests or corrections to your information.
2. Information you provide
When you submit an inquiry, we receive the name, email address and message you enter. Please provide only information needed for your inquiry and avoid sending sensitive information through this form. We use these details to respond, discuss your request, take steps you ask for before a possible service agreement, and maintain relevant business correspondence. Clicking an email link opens your email application; sending an email is a separate action.
3. Hosting and security
Our website uses WordPress and hosting provided by dHosting. Hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, request times, browser information and requested URLs to serve the site, prevent abuse and investigate technical problems. Our contact form uses a security token, a hidden anti-spam field and a short server-side rate limit. These protections do not depend on accepting analytics.
4. Optional Google Analytics
To apply the correct analytics default before Google loads, this site can request an existing Cloudflare country diagnostic from www.solarnovanow.com. Cloudflare receives the technical connection information needed to answer it. The site reads a country code in memory and does not save a geolocation cookie or send the diagnostic response to Google. IP-based country detection is approximate; a VPN can affect the observed country. Missing, conflicting or failed results and recognised Cloudflare tunnel signals keep analytics opt-in. This regional check is skipped when a saved analytics choice already exists or Global Privacy Control prevents automatic startup.
On eligible United States visits, ordinary website analytics may start without prior opt-in. Use Reject or Privacy settings to turn it off. Where prior consent is required, and whenever we cannot determine an eligible region, analytics remains off until you allow it. A saved rejection always takes priority over a regional default. Advertising remains off. It helps us understand visits, clicks on our main contact links and successful form submissions. A form event is generated only after our server reports that its mail system accepted the inquiry for sending. It does not prove inbox delivery, a qualified lead, a purchase or a sale.
We do not intentionally send Google your name, email address, message, form contents, contact-receipt token or private URL query/fragment values. The measurement script sends only a public allowlisted page address, a fixed page title and the relevant event name. Google also receives technical information such as browser/device details and cookie identifiers. Google processes IP addresses when receiving requests and states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. See Google's explanation of partner-site data use.
This analytics setup does not enable Google signals, advertising personalization, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, session recording or user-provided-data collection. Advertising consent remains denied.
5. Cookies and browser storage
Our locally hosted Silktide consent manager remembers your choices using localStorage keys beginning stcm.solarnova.. This is necessary preference storage, not visit tracking, and remains in this browser until cleared or changed. No Silktide account or remote consent database is used.
When Analytics is enabled, GA4 may set _ga and _ga_<stream identifier> cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google's default expiration is up to two years and may be refreshed by visits; browser limits can shorten this period. Analytics also uses sessionStorage keys beginning solar.analytics.contact. to avoid counting a confirmed inquiry again when the page is refreshed. This storage is used only with Analytics enabled and lasts for the browser-tab session.
A short-lived signed receipt in the form-success URL contains a random identifier and timestamp, not the inquiry contents. It validates the server's success response for up to five minutes and is not sent to GA4. The receipt is not a record of consent.
6. Your choices
Accept and Reject are equally available. You may use Settings to choose Analytics separately. Rejecting analytics does not prevent contacting us or using the site. Reopen here, in the footer or through the privacy icon to change your choice.
Turning Analytics off stops measurement, removes this setup's GA cookies and inquiry-deduplication session storage, and reloads the page to stop the previously loaded Google script. Withdrawal does not automatically erase information already received by Google or the business. You can also clear browser cookies/localStorage; this resets the saved privacy choice.
A Global Privacy Control signal prevents automatic regional analytics startup. You can still make an explicit choice about ordinary analytics in Privacy settings. Do Not Track is not interpreted as consent. No advertising or cross-site behavioral advertising is activated by this setup.
7. Providers and international processing
Hosting, security, email and technical support providers process information as needed to operate the website and handle inquiries. Google processes analytics information only when that feature is enabled. Information may be processed in the United States, Poland or other locations used by the relevant provider. Applicable safeguards depend on the provider and law governing the processing. We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the website and legitimate rights.
8. Retention and your rights
We retain inquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond, manage the resulting relationship and satisfy applicable recordkeeping or legal requirements. Technical records are retained according to operational and security needs. Analytics retention and cookie duration are separate settings; aggregated reports may remain available after identifiable event records expire.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to the relevant authority. Contact us using the details above. We may need to verify a request before acting, and legal exceptions may apply. Analytics consent does not authorize processing your inquiry contents for advertising.
9. Children and changes
This website is intended for adults seeking solar-energy services, not children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us. We may update this policy as the site or its services change. The date above identifies the latest version; material changes will be explained on the website where appropriate.
